Other information:
One hundred and thirty four of the 140 prawn samples (95.7%) complied with the European Commission regulatory limit of 0.5 mg/kg. All prawn samples had selenium concentrations greater than 0.38mg/kg in muscle tissue. These levels meet formal requirements in Australia’s Food Standard 1.2.7. on nutrition claims for Australian wild-caught prawns to be marketed as a good source of dietary selenium.
